speaking highly of

Emmanuel Pandu Nugroho aka Emman/Emm in this space.

What I tell my friends when they asked, "tell me more about him":

1. he's very sweet & thoughtful. he's always on the side of the traffic when we cross the road. it confuses me in the beginning cos he keeps changing side. but i got used to it and i think it's really thoughtful.

2. he's actually really quite intelligent. even if he may not look so (usually followed by 'hahaha'). i'm intrigued cos he can speak quite a number of languages, like Dutch, German, a little of Spanish, Jap, aside from English and Bahasa Indon. he's even learning Chinese now, though I think that may be a difficult journey.

3. he's younger than me. 3 years. but he definitely looks older than me, by 3 years too (usually followed by 'hahaha' too). but he's very independent. probably cos he has left his home and lived overseas, in the Netherlands, by himself for quite a number of years when he was studying there. so he takes care of himself and he is capable of taking care of someone too. he is used to doing all the housework himself! that's a huge bonus, don't you think?

4. he reads. like i do. but actually he reads more vastly than i do. he enjoys history. that's uncommon and that's quite charming cos he definitely knows more than i do.

5. he's boring but only to the extent of being dependable. he's quite predictable but that's good cos in a way, i get a sense of security with him. like, you know, he's, well, reliable.

6. he cooks. and that is always, always a good thing for me. i don't mind washing up but i really am not such a big fan of cooking. and i tried his cooking before. i must say he cooks quite damn well.

7. he thinks i'm perfectly gorgeous, intelligent, sweet, lovely, cute and like a goddess. what else can i say? he's judgemental, but has very good judgement.

8. he continues to think he's not deluded by me. (I'm crossing my fingers on this)

There! I don't need a scholar, an angmoh expat, a well-to-do, a hunk, a pretty face or an Aragorn for a boyfriend. I don't even want.

This is how highly I speak of sillyyou. Romantic. OR nottt?
